July 29, 2005
China's National Development and Reform Commission has approved, in its first trial, the fourth wave of applicants for its mobile phone production licenses. More than eight makers are said to have passed, including Amoisonic, MiTAC Kunshan, LG, Changhong, Jinpeng, BBK, and Malata. With the exception of Amoisonic, who applied for a CDMA license, all others are candidates for GSM phone production permits.
